Mentorship Program
Raising boys into men: As the journey continues nothing but love.
COVID-19(SARS-CoV-2) Notice
BMFYA will continue to be committed to the health and safety of mentors, mentees, and community partners. We will operate in accordance to CDC guidelines while adhering to advisory measures provided by the Virginia Department of Health and the office of the Governor of Virginia.
Our Mentors
Our mentors help young men succeed; in life, school, and beyond.

Over 100 participants have completed our program, with many going on to college, meaningful careers, and long-term mentorship relationships. The impact continues well beyond the eight-week program.
Our Program
The Broken Men Foundation Youth Academy (BMFYA), a non-profit organization, was established in 2014, as a division of The Broken Men Foundation with one mission - to support the youth. The Academy specializes in mentoring young men between the ages of 12-18, and the program offers a 20-week curriculum covering a variety of topics, aimed at better understanding adolescent behavior to allow our mentors to teach problem solving skills. Our organization is deeply rooted in academic achievement, the establishment of social skills, self-esteem and responsibility, citizenship and community involvement. Our ultimate goal is to make young men accountable for their actions, thus enabling them to become productive members of our community.
